Beijing Central Axis Friendly Football Match Concludes Successfully
The Dynamic Central Axis: Beijing Central Axis Friendly Football Match, was staged successfully at a football pitch along Beijing Central Axis in the afternoon of October 31. The event was hosted by the Beijing Central Axis Protection Foundation, China Pocy Group Co., Ltd. and the UK-China Football Development Center, and organized by Caofeidian College of Technology, Tangshan Maritime Institute, with support from Beijing Longmao Museum Cultural Communication Co., Ltd. This match featured players from the Stockport County FC Amateur Squad from England's League One and the Beihang University High-level Football Team. It served as a bridge of friendship, fostering football cultural exchanges between China and Britain.
Distinguished guests in attendance included Mei Song, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Beijing Central Axis Protection Foundation; Sun Aiping, Executive Vice President of China Pocy Group Co., Ltd.; Steve Bellis, President of Stockport County FC in UK; Liu Kaixiang, Chairman of the UK-China Football Development Center; Li Junsong, Chairman of Tangshan Maritime Institute; and Jia Wei, Deputy Director of Beijing Central Axis Cultural Education Special Fund and Honorary President of G20 Young Entrepreneurs' Alliance China Council.
The Stockport County FC Amateur Squad was led by Brian McClair, former Manchester United striking legend and former Scotland international, who served as head coach for the China tour. Its opponent was the high-level football team from Beihang University, previous champions of China Youth Football League (University Group) High-level Men's Super Championship League.
The match day was blessed with bright sunshine and gentle breezes, creating ideal conditions for the players' spectacular contest. The match was officiated by Wang Wei, a referee from the Chinese Super League. With the blow of the referee's whistle, the game officially began. Both teams displayed outstanding skills and teamwork on the pitch, maintaining their competitive spirit throughout the match. The game flowed back and forth between attack and defense, with both sides creating excellent scoring opportunities in the intense competition, drawing waves of cheers from the spectators.
