Presentation Ceremony for the "Beijing Central Axis Calendar"

On November 1, the Presentation Ceremony for the "Beijing Central Axis Calendar" was held on the fourth floor of the Zhengyang Gate Arrow Tower in Beijing. The event was hosted by the Beijing Central Axis Protection Foundation and the Beijing Central Axis Heritage Protection Center (Beijing World Cultural Heritage Monitoring Center), with assistance from the Beijing Newspaper and Periodical Distribution Bureau of China Post Group Corporation, Beijing Baoenlou Culture and Art Development Co., Ltd., Gengsheng Brand Operation Management (Beijing) Co., Ltd., and Beijing Fashion Xunda Book and Magazine Distribution Co., Ltd.

Attendees included Zhang Lixin, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Beijing Municipal Cultural Heritage Bureau, and Director of the Beijing Central Axis World Heritage Application and Protection Office; Yu Ping, Counselor of the Beijing Municipal People's Government Counselor's Office and former Deputy Director of the Beijing Municipal Cultural Heritage Bureau; Mei Song, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Beijing Central Axis Protection Foundation; Jin Xibin, Director of the Beijing Central Axis Heritage Protection Center (Beijing World Cultural Heritage Monitoring Center); Zhou Hao, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Beijing Public Group; Wang Gang, former Director of the History Institute of the Beijing Academy of Social Sciences; and other dignitaries, who together witnessed this significant event for the inheritance and dissemination of the Beijing Central Axis cultural heritage.

During the ceremony, Zhang Lixin and Yu Ping presented the "Beijing Central Axis Calendar" to representatives of the selected works. Mei Song, Qi Tao (General Manager of the Beijing Newspaper and Periodical Distribution Bureau of China Post Group Corporation), and Zhou Hao presented honorary certificates to the authors of the selected paintings, photographs, and seal carvings featured in the calendar.

Concurrently, a donation ceremony for paintings and photographs related to the Beijing Central Axis was held. Yang Liuyi, President of the Beijing Urban Landscape Painting Research Association, donated cityscape paintings titled "People's Heroes Monument", "Temple of Heaven", and "Golden Glow over Beijing", and authorized the foundation to use over 30 of his original "Beijing Central Axis Series" works. Ma Wenxiao, Member of the China Photographers Association, donated a photographic work titled "Panoramic View of the Central Axis". Zhao Rui, Vice Chairman of the Beijing Photographers Association, donated photographic works titled "Light and Shadow on the Central Axis", "Ancient Architectural Complex on the Central Axis", and "Fireworks on the Central Axis", and was invited to become a special photographer for the Beijing Central Axis Protection Foundation. During the donation ceremony, Mei Song signed donation agreements with the donors and issued certificates, expressing gratitude for their positive contributions to the dissemination of Beijing Central Axis culture.

The calendar presentation ceremony served as a promotion and exhibition of the Beijing Central Axis cultural heritage. We must be more proactive in innovation and practice, explore additional cultural heritage values, and make greater efforts to safeguard the Beijing Central Axis, a cultural treasure of the Chinese nation.
